Waive off the interest on the outstanding maintenance bill: BJP MLC Niranjan Davkhare

Over the last three months, the financial situation of the people, especially the lower and middle income group, has been bleak, courtesy the lockdown imposed due to the rapid spread of COVID-19. Since April, many of the housing societies have not received the maintenance charges from its residents. Due to this, an interest of 12 percent to 21 percent is charged on the outstanding maintenance bill amount. Cognizant of the financial position of most of the people, BJP MLC (Konkan constituency) Niranjan Davkhare, through an e-mail, has requested state co-operative minister Balasahed Patil to excuse the interest on the outstanding maintenance bill amount.
