Work starts on Multi-Model Corridor, will reduce travel time
Work has begun on the Virar-Alibaug Multi-Model Corridor, a major highway project by MMRDA. The 136 km long expressway will connect Virar, Bhiwandi, Kalyan, Taloja, and Alibaug. It will have 16 lanes and separate service roads. This project will reduce travel time between Virar and Alibaug, ease traffic on existing roads, and provide faster routes to Mumbai, Pune, and Navi Mumbai. The highway is expected to support cargo and passenger transport, boost connectivity, and reduce fuel and time costs.
