V.P.M Polytechnic ensures Coronavirus does not come in the way of academics

Coronavirus has had a major impact on different walks of life and education sector has not been an anomaly. However combating this menace, the faculty members of Thane’s V.P.M. Polytechnic have made use of advanced technology to ensure that the students’ learning is not affected. Some of the initiatives taken by the engineering college are, creating Whats App group for each of the five streams of engineering, arranging lectures on Zoom, sharing of videos of their lectures, digital notes, and model answer papers with the students, inter alia. All these ensure that the students are exam ready. The students, on the other hand, are also doing their bit in this lockdown period. In order to enrich themselves, the students are attending various webinars and undertaking different online courses.

V.P.M that is known for the all-round development of its myriad stakeholders has gone a step further to make this lockdown period more productive for the teachers. Apart from devoting their time to academics, the teachers have been encouraged by the V.P.M Chairman Mr Vijay Bedekar to write on different topics including art, music, history, among many. These articles are published on www.vpmthane.org. Till now 138 people have contributed 285 articles.
