Two Students Injured After Falling from Moving School Van.
Accident in Ambernath raises concerns over illegal student transport.
Two school students were injured after falling from a moving school van in Ambernath today. The accident occurred when students were being taken home from a private school.
The incident took place near Darul Fazal Market. A school van door opened suddenly while the van was in motion, causing the students to fall onto the road. The injured children were rushed to the hospital and are now recovering.
The van was overloaded with students and had no proper safety measures. Locals blamed the driver’s negligence and poor vehicle condition.
Police have registered a case against both van drivers — Sachin (30) and Kedar Tekkar — for unsafe transport.
This incident once again highlights the risk of illegal and unsafe student transport. Just a few days ago, similar drivers in Kalyan were fined by RTO officials.
