Thane’s healthcare reaches the Pinnacle of success

Everybody wants to reach the pinnacle of success. However, only a few make their way to the top. In the healthcare field, Thane’s Pinnacle Orthocentre has defied all odds and cruised to become one of the most sought-after orthopaedic hospitals in the city.

The illustrious journey of Pinnacle Orthocentre started in 2007 under the label of Orthocare hospital. It was a small nursing home located at Khopat. Dr. Yogesh Vaidya and Dr. Alpana Vaidya were at the helm of managing this 15-bedded hospital. Despite being a small setup, the hospital offered no dearth of quality and expertise. The doctors handled many complex trauma cases at a canter and successfully performed joint replacement and spine surgeries.
While everything was going according to plan, there was an ongoing need to expand operations to cope with the growing competition in the field. In line with of what one of the greatest business tycoons, Ratan Tata, has said, “If you want to walk fast, walk alone, but if you want to walk far, walk together,” Dr. Yogesh and Dr. Alpana ventured out to expand their team and to add more facilities to their hospital. Their most critical challenge was building an equally skillful team that could align with the hospital’s vision. With the entry of top Orthopaedic surgeons like Dr. Sandeep Vaidya, Dr. Parag Lad, Dr. Amit Sharma, and Dr. Kshitij Thoke, the hospital was transitioned to a higher level. These doctors brought their wealth of experience and expertise to the table. Currently, each of these doctors is the head of a different department. Dr. Sandeep Vaidya heads the department of Paediatric Orthopaedics; Dr. Parag Lad, the department of Hand Reconstructive and Microsurgery; Dr. Amit Sharma, the department of Spine Surgery; and Dr. Kshitij Thoke, the Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine department. Dr. Yogesh Vaidya, the founding member, heads the Trauma and Joint replacement department, while Dr. Mitali Vaidya is in-charge of the Diabetology department.

Orthocare was started with the aim of reaching the pinnacle of quality care for bone problems. With state-of-the-art medical facilities and some of the best doctors in the business under the umbrella, Orthocare was renamed Pinnacle Orthocentre in 2017.

Pinnacle Orthocentre also has an efficient team of anaesthesiologists led by Dr. Alpana Vaidya, who medically performs advanced regional anaesthesia cases and delivers anaesthesia for complex surgeries. The anaesthesia team has recently launched its pain management service for patients with long-standing (chronic) pain.
In January 2022, Pinnacle completed five years of excellence in ortho care. The hospital also has a charity wing, the Sumati Charitable Foundation, which strives to extend quality care to the deprived sections of society.
