Thanekars soak in the musical treat of Shivranjani

Shivranjani is one of the pioneering organisations working in music, dance and other art forms for the last two and a half decades incessantly and continuously with perfect discipline and dedication. Shivranjani evokes a sense of trust and awe amongst the ‘rasikas’ of music. Shri. Prakash Nawale started the organisation in 1998, and his son, Shri. Ravi Nawale continues the legacy with utmost sincerity and earnestness.

To date, Shivranjani has produced some great artists from across the country. It aims to use its thorough knowledge and understanding to promote Indian Music and Culture. Ms. Ritu Verma of Chattisgarh, Giansingh Namdari of Punjab, Laxmandas Baul of Kolkata, Padmashree Prahlad Singh Tipaniya of Madhya Pradesh, Ustad Babu Khan of Rajasthan, Ustad Taufiq Qureshi, Pandit Nayan Ghosh, Pandit Ravi Chari, and Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia graced the event held on March 9 at Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar Natyagruha, with their performance and presence.

Shivranjani imparts knowledge and teaches its students about music. This imparting of the art form is the religion followed by Shri. Ravi Nawale. He prepares young students to become future professionals and gives them the stage to exhibit their respective art.

Shri Ravi Nawale says, “The dear patrons, existing students and ever-zealous parents are the backbone of this organisation. Without their support and guidance, Shivranjani wouldn’t have grown to be the cultural centre point of Thane. Blessings of my Gurus and love and support of all patrons, friends, well-wishers and students will always be cherished.”
