Thane Badminton Academy Wins Two Gold Medals.

Players from Thane performed brilliantly in the State Junior Badminton Championship, which saw participation from over 200 players under 19 across 22 districts of Maharashtra. Thane’s top-ranked player and India’s 5th-ranked, Sarvesh Yadav, partnered with Shravan Walkekar to win gold in boys’ doubles. Despite Shravan’s injury, Sarvesh fought hard and defeated the Pune duo of Aditya Tripathi and Krisha Soni in straight games 21-16, 21-12. In another win for Thane, Arjun and Rajduraj won gold in boys’ doubles, defeating the Om-Govind pair 21-09, 21-13 in the final. Thane’s overall performance was excellent. Samidhya Ekbote and Aditi Gawde won silver in mixed doubles. Similarly, Yara Dembher and Arjun Reddy earned bronze in the boys’ doubles category. The championship turned out to be a highly successful outing for Thane, showcasing their dominance in junior badminton.
