The Thane Municipal Corporation will now have accurate data on all medicines available at civic hospitals and health centers. This system will help avoid shortages and stop unnecessary stockpiling.

Currently, there is often confusion about which medicines are available. But now, a digital tracking system will show real-time stock. Medicines that are about to expire will also be tracked. This move is expected to improve service in over 93 health centers.

Officers said the new system will help doctors and pharmacists know the exact stock on one click. The message will be sent every three months to keep the record updated. It will also save money by reducing wastage.
