Thane Municipal Corporation enter the final of ‘B’ division in the 48th Thanevaibhav Inter Office Cricket Tournament
Thane Municipal Corporation beat Choughule Sports Club by 123 runs in the ‘B’ division semi-final of the 48th Thanevaibhav Inter Office Cricket Tournament on Tuesday at Dadoji Konddeo Stadium.
Riding on Jaideep Pardeshi’s fluent innings of 71 runs from 69 balls, that included three fours and four sixes, Thane Municipal Corporation posted 211 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 35 overs. Along with his opening partner Vicky Patil (34 runs from 56 balls), the duo put together 88 runs for the first wicket. Later, Saurabh Ambre (35 runs from 27 balls) and Shashi Kadam (26 runs from 22 balls) added useful runs in the middle overs. For Choughule Sports Club, off spinner Yash Pathak and left arm spinner Shubham Shewale were among the most successful bowlers as they claimed two wickets apiece.
In reply, Choughule Sports Club crumbled under pressure as they were bowled out for a paltry 88 in 30 overs. Number 10 batter Omkar Kapse top scored with 22 runs from 41 balls, including five fours. For Thane Municipal Corporation, left arm spinner Kadam was the pick of the bowlers as he accounted for four wickets and received good support from off spinner Rajesh Bhujbal who struck three wickets.
