The wait for 27.13 hectares of land for the Metro 5 Kasheli car shed is over. The 24.9 km Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan Metro 5 route, costing Rs 8416 crore, is finally ready for construction. With 17 stations, this fully elevated route will connect Thane’s eastern suburbs, easing rapid transit. Work on the Kasheli car shed will start soon.
