Thane Marathon 2025: Youth Power and Public Participation.

Marathon office inaugurated; event to be held on August 10.

The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) will host the annual Thane Marathon on August 10, 2025. The marathon office was inaugurated by TMC Commissioner Saurabh Rao, who also launched the event slogan — “Marathon Thanyachi… Urja Tarunai Chi” (Thane’s Marathon… Youth Energy).

Competitions will be held in 12 categories for school students to senior citizens. The aim is to raise awareness about health and fitness.

Over 30,000 participants — including students, citizens, celebrities, and social workers — are expected. Participants will receive guidance and support from the organizing team.

Due to COVID-19, the marathon was paused for a few years. Now, excitement is high for its return. Top runners from across Maharashtra and beyond, including those from the armed forces, will also join.

Entry forms, chest numbers, and kits will be distributed from the new marathon office.
