Thane Juniors Shine at State Badminton Championship

8 Medals, Including 3 Golds, for Thane Players

Thane badminton players performed brilliantly at the Maharashtra State Junior Badminton Championship 2025 held in Nanded. They won a total of eight medals — three gold, three silver, and two bronze.

In the boys’ doubles, Thane’s Om and Samidhya won gold with a 19-21, 21-17, 21-8 victory. Shar Deore secured a bronze in singles.

In the U-19 girls’ doubles, Aaditi Gavde and Hrituja Vankhede clinched gold by defeating their opponents Siya Yadav and Upant Fareet with a 21-6, 21-15 score. Upant also won silver in singles.

Yashraj Kadam and Arjun Birajdar bagged another gold in U-19 boys’ doubles after a tough final match.

All medal winners train at the Thane Academy under the guidance of Shrikant Vad, who praised their hard work and dedication. Their excellent performance has once again brought pride to Thane’s sports community.
