Thane gets a New York and London-styled Park
Thane, popularly known as the City of Lakes, has added to its beauty with a sprawling 20.5-acre Grand Central Park. This stunning public park is located in Kolshet. On February 8, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will inaugurate the park and open it to the public.
Under the Suvidha plot development project, the Thane Municipal Corporation has developed this park seeking inspiration from New York’s iconic Grand Central Park and London’s Hyde Park. Kalpataru has designed and developed the park as an amenity space in lieu of transfer of development rights (TDR) and has now handed over the amenity to the corporation.
Thane’s Grand Central Park houses 3,500+ diverse species of trees. Besides, it has multiple amenities that will keep the visitors engaged. There are four theme parks: Mughal Garden, Chinese Park, Moroccan Park, and Japanese Park. For health and fitness freaks, there is a jogging track, a skating rink, lawn tennis and volleyball courts, play equipment for children and dedicated spaces for yoga and meditation.
