On June 17, Gaurav Patel (age 34), a passionate tennis player, was severely injured in a tragic road accident in Thane. While returning home after a morning match, near D-Mart on Ghodbunder Road, a speeding dumper suddenly hit him from behind. The force of the impact threw him to the ground, leaving him unconscious and badly hurt. Shocked bystanders and his relatives quickly rushed him to a private hospital for emergency treatment.
