State Government Cancels Both Hindi-Related Ordinances.
Big Announcement by Maharashtra Government | Committee to Be Formed Under Dr. Narendra Jadhav.
The Maharashtra government has withdrawn two ordinances related to making Hindi compulsory, following public protests. Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis announced this after a cabinet meeting. The decision comes after strong opposition from various groups regarding Hindi imposition. A new committee under Dr. Narendra Jadhav will now study language-related issues. The planned protest march on July 5 has also been called off, as the government accepted the demand and canceled both ordinances.
