South Africa aim to seal series, India looking for their first win

After an emphatic win by five wickets (DLS method) in the second T20I, South Africa will look to end the three-match affair with a win and clinch the series. On the other hand, India would look to fight harder and atleast level the series with a victory.

The third T20I between India and South Africa will be played on December 14 at New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.

Players to watch out for

Suryakumar Yadav: The Indian captain led from the front scoring 56 off 36 in the second T20I against South Africa. He came into bat when his team was struggling at 6/2 in two overs. The world number 1 T20I batter soaked all the pressure and carved his way to struck 17th T20I half-century. He stitched a useful 70-run partnership with Rinku Singh for the fourth wicket.

 

Mukesh Kumar: India’s right arm speedster was the most successful bowler in the second T20I against South Africa. He snapped two wickets in three overs. Despite leaking 34 runs, he was impressive as he got the key wickets of South Africa’s captain Aiden Markram and hard hitting batter David Miller.

 

Reeza Hendricks: The right-handed opening batter of South Africa led the run chase from the front with a delightful 49 off 27 in the second T20I against India. His innings was laced with eight fours and a six. With a strike rate over 180, he smashed the Indian bowlers all over the park.

 

Gerald Coetzee: Playing just his fourth T20I, this right arm pace sensation of South Africa was outstanding with the ball in the second T20I against India. He was the pick of the bowlers as he accounted for 3/32 in 3.3 overs, bowling inside the powerplay and in the death overs.

 

Pitch and conditions
