Shubhanshu Shukla Heads to International Space Station
India’s First Commercial Astronaut Makes History.
India’s first commercial astronaut, Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, launched towards the International Space Station (ISS) today (June 25) at 12:07 PM. He took off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center as part of the ‘Axiom-4’ mission. He will stay in space for 14 days, conducting research and experiments.

In 24 hours, the spacecraft will orbit Earth 16 times, letting the astronauts witness sunrise and sunset 16 times daily.
