Satellite qualify for the final of ‘C’ division in the 48th Thanevaibhav Inter Office Cricket Tournament
In the 48th Thanevaibhav Inter Office Cricket Tournament, Vishal Yadav’s all-round brilliance powered Satellite to a 102-run win in the ‘C’ division semi-final match against NB Equipment and Engineering (NBEE) on Thursday at the Dadoji Konddeo Stadium. Satellite have made their way to the final.
Batting first, Satellite piled up 194 runs in 34 overs. Yadav top-scored with 62 runs from 48 balls, including seven fours and two sixes. Abhijit Rohandiya (27 runs from 33 balls) and Manas Chavan (23 runs from 28 balls) were the other major contributors with the bat for Satellite. Left arm spinner Sandeep Dahad starred with the ball for NBEE as he scalped 5/36 in seven overs.
Dahad’s effort went in vain as NBEE could not chase the total set by Satellite. NBEE were bowled out for 92 in 22.2 overs. Yadav, who was excellent with the bat in the first innings, was impressive with the ball in the second. Bowling left arm spin, he claimed 5/19 in seven overs. For NBEE, Azhar Ansari (28 runs from 41 balls), who batted at number three was the lone warrior in the fight with the bat.
