Ravindra Ghodivade Elected Unopposed as Kalyan APMC Chairman.
BJP flags fly high as both chairman and vice-chairman elected unopposed.
Ravindra Ghodivade has been unanimously elected as the chairman of Kalyan Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC), while Jalindar Patil was chosen as the vice-chairman — both unopposed. This marks a significant win for the BJP-backed Shinde faction. Out of 18 committee seats, the BJP-led panel secured majority support with backing from the Shinde group, Ajit Pawar’s NCP, and Congress. As no other nominations were filed, both Ghodivade and Patil were declared elected. Ghodivade expressed plans to improve the poor condition of roads around the market and resolve parking issues in the flower and vegetable markets. He also promised development of a permanent market yard in Kalyan. MLA Kishan Kathore supported the panel and played a key role in the victory. Ghodivade said he would work with all parties for the betterment of farmers and traders.
