Final exams fast approaching, confusion still on, thanks to these 2 Covid blessed years! Final year students in a dilemma as to how the recruiters in the job market will treat these Pandemic blessed pass out aspirants.
To lay their anxiety to rest we thought of approaching the recruiters and who better than a well-known company having its office in our own Thane, having an experience of a decade and more of recruiting 10000+ professionals pan India, Middle East, Central America, CIS countries etc. in Manufacturing, IT, Energy conservation, Construction, Infrastructure etc. and has inputs from different employers as to what they look for in the aspirants.
Hence, we met Ms.Suanjana Biswas Managing Director of Grey & White for her inputs. She is an experienced director with a demonstrated history of working in the Human Resources industry for whom recruitment is a passion and getting networked, understanding strengths and weaknesses and accordingly optimizing the right fitment thrills her. Recruitment to her is a unique combination of research and analysis.

She opined that though 2020 was a year full of confusion and insecurity, 2021 was good and the job market looked up. Even today there is no dearth of jobs. Those who were really good have already been picked up in campus interviews. This is for all those out there who feel there are no jobs. What seems to be lacking today is the ATTITUDE TO EXCEL, and being more real than virtual. Though the colleges have reopened not many are attending! Let’s not take Academics lightly as the amount of research and efforts that they have put in their college project work or internship will surely count along with their Mark Sheets and their basic skills.

When quizzed about what parameters recruiters would consider for Covid pass outs, she said SINCERITY, ATTITUDE TO EXEL, GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS both oral and written, GOAL DRIVEN and MOST IMPORTANTLY A HUNGER TO VALUE ADD TO THE RECRUITING COMPANY.

Her advice to the Fresher’s waiting for the right opportunity is,” TIME is the essence, value it and use it wisely, grab every opportunity that comes your way without being too kinky, develop reading habit to enhance your communication skills, general awareness and an awareness of the field of the career of your choice, especially if you aspire to become a good professional.” She feels that it is reading that helps in developing the research and analytical skills. It is this skill that sets the IITans, and other A Grade college students apart as they make an in-depth study about their chosen field. They are aware of the technicality, funds moving in that industry and every other detail of it. It is also important to learn computer basics and sharpen their analytical skills. She advises those who are from vernacular mediums to make a conscious effort to develop their communication and language skills by reading, watching and listening to materials in the specific language.

Hard work with an attitude to learn, taking feedback from seniors in the right spirit and patience are sure shot ways to go ahead. “We are looking to hire 30 to 40 SINCERE Fresher’s who possess basic skills, driven with a DREAM TO EXCEL “she signs off.
