Monsoon likely to hit Kerala coast by May 27.
The southwest monsoon has arrived in the Andaman Sea. As per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), it is expected to reach Kerala between May 25 and 27. The conditions over the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea are now favorable for further advancement. IMD also predicts that monsoon may reach Kerala earlier than usual. The monsoon is likely to advance rapidly over southern India in the coming days. Widespread rainfall is expected in the region, signaling the official onset of the monsoon season.
