Areas like Ovalekar Wadi, Tikuji-ni-Wadi, Upvan, Sanjay Gandhi National Park, and wetlands near Kolshet have become birdwatching hotspots. Among the visiting birds are the Blue-bearded Bee-eater, Black-naped Monarch, and the stunning Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher (locally called “वामन रांजा”). This colorful kingfisher, known for its vibrant plumage and rarity, is considered a prized sighting among birdwatchers. Other unique sightings include the Slaty-legged Crake, a secretive bird usually seen during this season, and Chestnut-winged Cuckoo, known for its melodious call.
