MLA Pravin Darekar Stuck in Lift, Rescued After Door Breaks

Lift failure traps 17 people in Vasai building; rescued by breaking the door.

BJP leader and MLA Pravin Darekar, along with Vasai MLA Seema Dube-Pandit and Nalasopara MLA Rajan Naik, were trapped in a lift due to a technical fault. The incident occurred at the Call Harrison City building in Vasai, where Darekar had come for a guidance camp. Around 17 people were inside the lift, which had a capacity of only 10. Due to overloading, the lift stopped suddenly. BJP workers and local authorities broke the lift door to rescue them. Darekar and others were stuck for nearly 10 minutes. Darekar is a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council and Chairman of Mumbai Bank. He was attending a BJP training event in the building’s new wing. Fortunately, no injuries were reported
