Mission Kopri bridge begins
It will now be convenient to travel from Thane to Mumbai, with the successful ascent of the girder required for the bridge.
Shiv Sena MP Rajan Vichare paid a visit to the site where the work of installing seven girders on the Anandnagar subway of Kopri bridge was going on. Vichare came there at 11pm and was there till 5am the next morning. The girder is 35 meters long and weighs 35 metric tons. The system was equipped with five cranes, five trailers and a puller to lift the girder.
Vichare appreciated all the officers and workers after the successful installation of all the girders. He was accompanied by Transport Branch Commissioner of Police Balasaheb Patil, Assistant Commissioner of Police Mr. Palve, MMRDA Superintendent Engineer Prakash Bhambre and Executive Engineer Vinay Surve.
