Leopard Fear Keeps Students Away from School.
Bus Service Stopped; Over 30 Students Miss Classes.
In Sajinwali and Savarshet villages of Shahapur taluka, students are unable to attend school in Bhatsanagar due to a halt in the ST bus service. Although the school is just 3 km away, students are afraid to walk because of frequent leopard sightings.
Around 25 to 30 students have stopped attending school. Parents say children fear walking alone through forested paths, and no alternate transport has been provided. Locals demand immediate restart of the bus service to ensure children’s safety and education.
