Indra & Aayush power St. Joseph’s High School Dombivli to a 10-wicket win in Harris Shield
St. Joseph’s High School Dombivli picked up from where they left as they registered their second straight win in the Harris Shield. After beating CP Goenka International School in the first round, St. Joseph’s High School Dombivli handed a crushing 10-wicket defeat to Balmohan Vidya Mandir Dadar (English Medium) in the second round of the Harris Shield.
Put into bowl first at Cross Maidan, St. Joseph’s High School Dombivli bowled out Balmohan Vidya Mandir for a paltry 108 in 26.3 overs. Speedster Indra Mishra ran through the Balmohan’s top order in a jiffy as he bowled with great control and hit the right areas consistently thereby making the batters commit mistakes. At one point the scoreboard read 27/4. However, the Balmohan batters tried to consolidate before leg spinners Aarya Sagare (2/21) and Aayush Ambekar (4/14) spun a web around them to pick six wickets between them.
In reply, St. Joseph’s High School Dombivli’s captain Aayush Ambekar (54*) continued his form with the bat and scored a brilliant unbeaten half century. His opening partner Vihaan Wagh (33) played a patient knock and the duo powered their school to a clinical 10-wicket win.
Indra, Aayush, Aarya, and Vihaan seek training at Cricket Explained Academy in Dombivli under Hrishikesh Puranik.
