IMD issues red alert; NDRF team deployed in different parts of Thane district

IMD has issued a red alert which indicates a heavy rainfall on Thursday. On Wednesday, the different parts of Thane district experienced heavy downpour and in view of the red alert issued by the IMD, NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) has been deployed in Thane district. A team of 25 personnel has arrived from Pune in Thane. It has been raining heavily over the past few days. In order to avoid any kind of loss to life and property, a team of Thane Disaster Response Force, fire brigade of Thane Municipal Corporation, and NDRF personnel have been kept ready.
