Illegal Construction and Activities in Yeoor to Face Crackdown

Special Officer to Be Appointed for Inquiry – CM Fadnavis.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced in the state assembly that illegal bungalows, hotels, turf grounds, and other unauthorized businesses in the Yeoor forest area will be investigated. A special officer will be appointed for inquiry and action.

This comes after MLA Dr. Jitendra Awhad raised concerns about increasing illegal activities in this eco-sensitive zone. CM Fadnavis responded that illegal work has escalated recently, especially during the 18-day monsoon session.

Yeoor has seen a surge in unauthorized hotels. Loud parties are being held at night, with noise from various turf grounds. Many illegal halls are also being used for weddings, birthday parties, and other events, disturbing local wildlife. Strict steps will now be taken by the forest department.
