Illegal Attempt to Fill Pond Foiled in Sanjay Gandhi National Park.

Forest Department Takes Swift Action.

An illegal attempt to fill a pond in the Sanjay Gandhi National Park area was stopped by forest officials. Soil and debris were being dumped into a natural pond near Survey No. 273/3 and Forest Area No. 109 in the Yeoor region. This posed a serious threat to biodiversity and wildlife. The forest department acted quickly to prevent further damage. Officials suspect the land was being prepared for illegal use. Action has been taken under the guidance of Range Forest Officer Pradeep Patil and Assistant Conservator of Forests Kareem.
