Grihitha Vichare becomes the youngest to complete the Vajir Pinnacle summit
Grihitha Sachin Vichare, an eight-year-old resident of Rutu Enclave, known as Hirkani of Maharashtra, set a record of becoming the second youngest girl in India and the first from Maharashtra to climb Mount Everest Base Camp on October 28. Within a month, on November 27, Grihitha completed the most challenging trek in Maharashtra, Vajir Pinnacle, to become the youngest to have completed the trek.
Vajir Pinnacle is located on the south side of Mahuli Fort in Asangaon. Many trekkers dream of summiting the Vajir Pinnacle. Due to its unique shape, this location has a lot of curiosity among fort lovers. The height of Vajir Pinnacle is about 300 feet. A steep 90-degree climb makes the trek difficult. To reach the foothills of Vajir Pinnacle, one has to trek for three hours from Chafyacha Pada. It is one of the most dangerous treks, with deep valleys on both sides. If a person slips even a little step, it can cause lethal damage.
Grihitha, her elder sister Harita (14), and their father Sachin Vichare climbed the Vajir Pinnacle with determination and courage. The famous Sahyadri Rock Adventures group from Kalyan supported the trio. Pawan Ghuge, Darshan Deshmukh, Ranjit Bhosle, Rasika Yewle, Bhushan Pawar, Kalpesh Banote, Akshay Jamdare, Mahendra Bhande, Vicky Berkul, and Swapnil Bhoir are the members of Sahyadri Rock Adventures.
