Ghodbunder residents share their New Year Resolutions
Keeping new year’s resolutions is an old tradition that is followed all over the world. We asked a few people from Kavesar about their resolutions this year and this is what they had to say;
Mrs. Jigna Paul: (Age: 43)
Park woods, behind d-mart, kavesar, thane west.
I am Mrs. Jigna Paul, a happy homemaker and like most people, I tend to keep a New Year’s Resolution as well. This year, my New Year Resolution is to try to make a difference by spending some quality time with under-privileged children in a nearby orphanage every week. I would love to be one of the reasons behind a kid’s smile. I’ll take my daughter with me and make sure she makes a lot of friends there. I will take my daughter’s old clothes, toys and donate them to the orphanage. I aim to actively contribute in making the lives of the children better.
Falak Nawab: (19)
Mahalaxmi Tower, Kasarvadavli, Thane west.
My name is Falak Nawab and I’m pursuing a BFA. As a college student, I travel a lot and it recently came to my realization that the over usage of private vehicles is harming the environment on a very large scale. I have taken a sincere pledge to make use of public vehicles only while travelling as the fuel used in public vehicles is CNG due to which the pollution emission is reduced. The best thing about using public transport is that it is easy on the pockets. I want to make a difference by taking care of our environment as we all know that we youngsters are the flag bearers of the world and we need to do our part to save our mother earth before it’s too late.
Kunal Vaishnav (23)
Sanghvi Hills, Kavesar, Thane west.
My name is Kunal Vaishnav and I work as a Bartender in the famous hotel chain called the Trident. The craze for keeping a New Year’s resolution is obsolete and I too keep a resolution every year. This year, I pledge to go back to my roots and start clicking portraits again. I’ve been an avid photographer all my life. Growing up, I was a jack of all trades but a master of none. Eventually, photography became my strength. With my hectic job, I rarely get time to pick up the camera. I promise to spend more time with myself, reconnect and start clicking pictures again.
