Dr. Vipin Sharma takes office as TMC commissioner

On Wednesday, Dr. Vipin Sharma took office as the Thane Municipal Commissioner (TMC) after his predecessor Vijay Singhal was replaced in a sudden turn of events on Tuesday. Singhal worked as the civic chief for just three months and three days. On his very first day itself, Dr. Sharma met the deputy commissioner, additional commissioners, and other TMC officials to understand the spread of COVID-19 in the municipal limits of Thane. He stated that he will strive to make the necessary medical facilities available to the critical patients and in course of time he will work on setting up new infrastructure to fight the coronavirus battle.
