Dr. Vipin Sharma replaces Vijay Singhal as Thane Municipal Corporation commissioner

In a sudden turn of events, on Tuesday, late in the evening, Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) commissioner Vijay Singhal was replaced by Dr. Vipin Sharma. Singhal took to duty three months back, succeeding Sanjeev Jaiswal, who is currently serving as additional municipal commissioner in BMC. Prior to being appointed as the TMC commissioner, Singhal was managing BMC operations as an additional municipal commissioner. With TMC commissioner being replaced, there have been already five changes at the municipal corporation level in the MMR region. The municipal commissioners of Navi Mumbai, Ulhasnagar, Bhiwandi, Mira-Bhayander, and Thane have been replaced.
