Just like many of you, it was not easy for Prashanth Havinahal to set up a home in a metro city like Bengaluru, given that the apartments are not as spacious as the ones in non-metro cities. After working for eight years in the US, this software engineer returned to India. Taking up the challenge of setting up a home in his stride, Prashanth conceptualized “Invisible Bed”.

So, what exactly is Invisible Bed? Invisible Bed is a one stop solution to meet all your furniture needs in a limited space that is available at your disposal. When Prashanth was busy trying to find a solution to his problem, he decided to start this concept and since 2013, he has played an instrumental role in solving the day-to-day problems of people with his seamless repertoire of space saving products.

Prashanth founded Invisible Bed in 2013 and since then has catered to over 10,000 happy customers. He says, “It all started with designing a bed that could be folded after use just to save space in the house. I spent close to eight months researching on the internet about making such a bed. Finally, I was able to make one. I invited people to see the product and they were pleased with it. That gave me confidence and so I decided to start my own company and hire people, who would share my vision of solving the day-to-day furniture related problems.”
Invisible Bed boasts of a range of products, including beds, coffee tables, dining tables, wall shelves, sofa, work from home furniture, among many. Unlike the conventional pieces of furniture, the products of Invisible Bed can be folded and used only when required. Prashanth shares, “From day one, my principle was to only create products that we as a company connect with. We never compromise on the quality and our products are long lived ones. To give you an example, our first bed was installed in 2012 and to date it is still going strong.” All our beds come with a five- year warranty which is unmatched in the furniture industry.

He adds, “Apart from serving retail clients, we have institutional clients in Homelane, Livspace, Design Café and Bonito Design, to whom we supply our exquisite array of products. We are the sole suppliers to these big players.”
Last year, in 2021, Prashanth opened his second store in Thane. He avers, “We opened a flagship store in Mumbai in November 2019 and the response that we received from the people there was incredible. Therefore we decided to have an existence in this part of the country and zeroed down on Thane as the location for our second store after Bengaluru.”

Prashanth concludes, “We have collaborated with several channel partners to make our products available to people all over India. We understand that many face the challenge of setting up a home due to space constraints, so we just want to assure them that we are always there to help them out.”
