Citizens Plant Trees in Potholes to Protest Bad Roads.

Large potholes near the ST bus depot close to Thane railway station have caused major inconvenience to commuters. In protest, members of the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction), along with Thane district railway and transport passengers’ association, held a symbolic protest. To highlight the poor condition of the roads, the group planted saplings and sugarcane in the potholes. The protest aimed to draw the attention of local authorities to the urgent need for road repairs in the area. The unique demonstration took place in the middle of the damaged road, turning the potholes into small symbolic gardens.
