Carrom Tournament by Brahman Sabha Thane Receives Huge Response.
Over 280 players participate in district-level event marking centenary celebrations.
As part of its centenary celebrations, Brahman Sabha Thane organized a district-level carrom tournament that received enthusiastic participation. The event featured men’s and women’s singles, doubles, and under-18 boys and girls categories. Organized with support from the District Carrom Association, the competition saw over 280 participants from across Thane district. Winners received cash prizes and trophies worth ₹73,000. In the boys’ group, Madhur Bedekar won first place, while in girls’, Arati Ghorpade secured the title. Among seniors, Anuj Sharif Ansari and Gaurang Manjrekar won in men’s doubles. The prize distribution ceremony was guided by MLA Niranjan Davkhare and attended by city leaders including Naresh Mhaske and former mayor Minakshi Patil. Organizers expressed gratitude to all participants and supporters, making the event a memorable success.
