NCP Demands Action from Thane Officials.

NCP leader Shrad Pawar has urged Thane district officials to cancel licenses of gas cylinder godowns operating in residential areas of Kalyan and Ulhasnagar, citing threat to public safety. Many gas agencies are running godowns near homes, violating rules. A Hindustan Petroleum godown in Kalyan’s Durgadi area was found in a crowded locality. If a cylinder blast occurs, it could risk many lives. Pawar demanded strict action against owners violating norms and called for shifting godowns out of residential zones to ensure public safety.
