Can IND-A women win the second T20 and clinch the three-match series against ENG-A?
After a breathtaking three-run win on Wednesday, India A women will fancy their chances to seal the three-match T20 series against England A women as they take them on Friday.
India A led by Minnu Mani put up an inspiring show with bat and ball at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in the first T20. Though they were ordinary on the field with a few missed opportunities, there were hardly any questions raised about their batting or bowling. Disha Kasat, G Divya, and Kanika Ahuja were impressive with the bat, whereas Shreyanka Patil and Kashvee Gautam were among the top performers with the ball.
England A, on the other hand, would be disappointed as they could not complete the formalities in the first T20. They almost chased 135 but a couple of bad overs in which they lost their well-set batters took the game away from them. Hollie Armitage’s half-century was the biggest positive for the visitors.
Finding themselves in a do or die situation, England A led by Charlie Dean, who has reasonable international experience, will be expected to put their best foot forward and keep the series alive as they take on India A in the second T20 on Friday at the same venue.
The match will start at 1.30pm and will be broadcast live on Jio Cinema.
