If the Mumbai Railway is flooded, rescue teams will be available in a few moments. The boat will be handed over to the Central Railway in the next seven days.

Over the last few years, there has been an increase in the number of waterlogging instances on the Mumbai Railway. NDRF rescue teams have to be relied upon to rescue passengers in the local in case of emergency. Now with the introduction of modern boats, Mumbai Railway will have its own squad. The legal process regarding the transfer of railway boats is almost complete. Now there are no obstacles in getting the boat to the railways. The boat will join the Railway Security Force in the next seven days. Special trained personnel have also been deployed for the flood control squad. Special training has been imparted to 15 Railway Security Force personnel with the help of NDRF for the flood rescue squad. The team also includes female employees.

Recently, hundreds of passengers were stranded at the Masjid station due to waterlogging. NDRF personnel rescued the passengers with the help of boats.
