Bid adieu to all your physical pains at Thane’s PhysioQinesis
PhysioQinesis is Thane’s first and largest physiotherapy clinic and holistic fitness and sports rehabilitation centre. Dr. Shwetha Rao Warke, the founder of PhysioQinesis, started her physiotherapy career with an interest in Neurological Rehabilitation. Later it diversified to Sports Physiotherapy due to her avid interest in the field and her fitness journey.
Dr. Warke believes, “You don’t have to be better than everyone else, but you have to be at your best.” To help people recuperate faster from their injuries and help them reach their best fitness levels, Dr. Warke started PhysioQinesis in 2016. She recalls, “I used to accompany my son to his lawn tennis practice back then. Sitting on the sidelines, I thought there was a scope to improve the fitness levels and performance of the kids playing sports. Though physiotherapy and allied areas have gained prominence in the western world, India is still developing. There are seldom any one-stop solutions in our country for physiotherapy needs. Thus, to bridge this gap, the seeds of PhysioQinesis were sown.”
PhysioQinesis has gone from strength to strength in the last six years. In 2017, Dr. Warke and her team launched the Runner’s School; in 2018, they treated over 1500 patients; in 2019, exercise physiology was established; in 2020, the smart lab was introduced; and in 2022, yoga and callisthenics were added to its rich repertoire. This year, in November, a performance lab was launched. To date, close to 4000 patients have been successfully treated by Dr. Warke and her team. For its excellence in offering effective physiotherapy solutions, PhysioQinesis was named among the top 10 physio clinics by Silicon India in 2021.
PhysioQinesis boasts of a power-packed set of professionals who have immense knowledge and skills in physiotherapy. The experienced staff has expertise in sports, manual therapy, yoga, running, swimming, strength and conditioning, massage, and the like. They can treat anyone, be they a homemaker, athlete, or working professional. Typically, the patients come with issues related to musculoskeletal injuries, sports injuries, degenerative conditions, post-operative rehab, or performance enhancement. Dr. Warke explains, “The team of PhysioQinesis has the likes of Dr. Heta Thakker, who has done her Masters in exercise physiology from the US. Being an athlete herself, Dr. Heta emphasises the role of fitness testing for athletes and any individual seeking to get fit and working on a scientific exercise prescription that is goal oriented.”
Dr. Warke adds, “Educating the patients and explaining to them the root cause of their problems is paramount. We believe every problem has a unique solution, and we are committed to providing the best possible individual customised physiotherapy solution through our advanced scientific approach towards long-term health, fitness and rehabilitation. Besides physiotherapy solutions, we offer unique personalised programmes that facilitate fast healing, including deep tissue release therapy, dry needling therapy, and cupping taping therapy. We also modify and tweak your exercise programme at every stage to align with your goal. Fitness tests are performed, and experts analyse the data.”
As a proud Thanekar, Dr. Shwetha Rao Warke wants to contribute towards building a healthy and fit Thane. For that, she offers the citizens a state-of-the-art physiotherapy and rehabilitation solution in the form of PhysioQinesis.
