Bangladesh and West Indies face off in a must-win match

Bangladesh and West Indies play their penultimate league match of this ICC Women’s T20 World Cup on Thursday in Sharjah. Both teams have registered one win in two matches, having beaten Scotland. The 2016 T20 World Cup champions West Indies as well as Bangladesh, who has never made it to the knock-out stages of the T20 World Cup, will look to grab another two points to strengthen their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals.

Players to watch out

Sobhana Mostary: This right-handed batter of Bangladesh has been the leading run scorer for her team in this World Cup so far. Batting at number three, she has scores of 36 and 44 against Scotland and England, respectively.

Fahima Khatun: This wily right arm off spinner was among the most successful bowlers for Bangladesh in her previous encounter against England. She picked 2/18 in four overs and was the second-most economical bowler for her side.

Qiana Joseph: This left-handed top-order batter of West Indies hammered 31 runs from just 18 balls, including three fours and a six, in her previous outing against Scotland. She also bowled one over of left arm spin and conceded two runs.

Afy Fletcher: This right-arm leg spinner of West Indies scalped 3/22 in four overs in her previous match against Scotland. She also won the player of the match award for her sparkling bowling performance.
