ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023: Australia and Bangladesh come face to face in a dead rubber
The five-time World Cup champions Australia have qualified for the semi-final. While this was quite expected, their performance in the first two matches, which they lost to India and South Africa, raised many questions around the team and individual players. Since then, they have fought hard and made a powerful comeback. Whatever they have touched has turned into gold. Their latest win over Afghanistan was miraculous as Glenn Maxwell struck a masterclass double century to help his team snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
With Australia to take on South Africa in the semi-final, they have a chance to settle scores. Further if Australia meets India in the final, provided both of them win their respective semi-finals, Australia can have another go at India in this World Cup.
However, before that Australia play Bangladesh on November 11 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
