‘A’ teams of India and England ready to play women’s T20 series in Mumbai
Mumbai will host a three-match women’s T20 series between India A and England A at Wankhede Stadium. The two teams will play matches on November 29, December 1, and December 3. All the matches will start at 1.30 pm.
India A: Minnu Mani (captain), Kanika Ahuja, Uma Chetry, Shreyanka Patil, Gongadi Trisha, Vrinda Dinesh, Gnanananda Divya, Arushi Goel, Disha Kasat, Rashi Kanojiya, Mannat Kashyap, Anusha Bareddy, Monica Patel, Kashavee Gautham, Jintimani Kalita, Prakashika Naik.
England A: Charlie Dean (captain), Hollie Armitage, Hannah Baker, Lauren Filer, Mahika Gaur, Kirstie Gordon, Freya Kemp, Ryana MacDonald-Gay, Grace Scrivens, Seren Smale, Rhianna Southby, Mady Villiers, Issy Wong
It will be the first women’s T20 series between India and England since 2019. In that series, India emerged victorious with a 2-1 margin. After the ‘A’ teams play against each other, the senior teams will lock horns in three-match T20I series and one-off Test at Wankhede Stadium and Dr D Y Patil Sports Academy, respectively.
