India Women on the cusp of creating HISTORY!

To date, India Women have never won a bilateral T20I series against England Women. Having secured a 2-0 lead in the ongoing five-match series, India Women are on the threshold of creating history. The visitors will fancy their chances against the wounded hosts, who have suffered two crushing losses.

England and India will face off against each other on Friday at Kennington Oval in London for the third T20I. A win here for India Women will help them clinch the series and script history. On the other hand, England Women would look to get their mojo back and keep the series alive.

Players to watch out

Tammy Beaumont: The right-handed middle order batter of England struck a delightful half century in the second T20I against India. Batting at number 4, she packed a punch, scoring 54 runs off 35 balls at a blistering strike rate of 154. Her innings was laced with eight fours and a six.

Lauren Bell: The 6 feet tall right-arm quick of England has been the standout performer so far in the ongoing series having picked up five wickets in two matches. Nicknamed ‘Shard’ (tallest building in the United Kingdom), Bell has been disciplined with her lines and lengths and yielded rich dividends for her consistency. She has effective slower ones in her armoury which can trouble any batter.

Jemimah Rodrigues: India’s pocket-sized dynamo exploded in the second T20I against England as she registered her 13th T20I half century. The Mumbai batter hammered 63 runs off 41 balls at an impressive strike rate of 154. Her knock was studded with nine fours and a six.

Amanjot Kaur: Batting at number 5, this right-handed batter combined forces with Rodrigues to stitch a solid 93 run partnership in the second T20I against England. Coming into bat inside the powerplay, Amanjot held the innings together with maturity. The 24-year-old muscled an unbeaten 63 off 40, smashing nine fours. She also bowled three overs, conceding 28 runs and picking one wicket. Her all-round performance was deservingly awarded with the Player of the Match.
