Three Drug Factory Accused Arrested Before Fleeing to Nepal.

Police Bust Illegal Drug Manufacturing Unit in Uttarakhand.

The Thane Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell uncovered an illegal factory in Uttarakhand producing MD (a synthetic drug). Three accused, who were planning to escape to Nepal, were caught before crossing the border. The arrested men are Om Gupta (alias Monu), Bhim Yadav, and Amarkumar Kohli. Earlier this year, two others—Dilawar Singh and Phulsingh Shelwal—were also arrested in connection with the same case. Based on their information, police traced the drug operation to a remote village in Uttarakhand. A raid there led to the seizure of raw materials and equipment worth ₹18.54 lakh used to make MD. The factory has now been completely shut down. Police are continuing the investigation to identify others involved.
