Speed Monitoring Systems to Be Installed at Five Signals.

To reduce speeding and road accidents on Ghodbunder Road, speed monitoring systems will be installed at five key traffic signals. These sensors will detect overspeeding and automatically alert traffic authorities.

The system will be first tested at the Anand Nagar signal. Within 20–22 days, three more signals will have the setup. Vehicles overspeeding by 50 meters near the signal will be flagged. This move aims to make roads safer and help reduce accidents, according to officials from the Thane Municipal Corporation.
