India meet New Zealand in their WT20 WC opener

Harmanpreet Kaur led India take on New Zealand on October 4 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in match number four of the ninth edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. While New Zealand have dominated India in T20Is, in the T20 World Cups, both teams have enjoyed equal success.

Deepti Sharma: This left-handed middle order batter and right arm off spinner is one of the best all-rounders in the world. She has been the most successful bowler for India in T20Is in this calendar year snapping 23 wickets in 16 innings.

Amelia Kerr: This dashing all-rounder from New Zealand has been effective with both bat and ball in T20Is in this calendar year. Bowling right arm leg spin she has picked 14 wickets and with the bat has muscled 252 runs in 12 innings.

Suzie Bates: This right-handed opening batter of New Zealand has mustered 316 runs in 13 T20I innings and has been the most prolific batter for her side in this calendar year. The former White Ferns’ skipper has a wealth of experience having featured in 165 T20Is.
