Missing links : only answer to GB road jams!

If the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) works on the missing links in the area, the citizens can be emancipated from the perennial traffic jams on Ghodbunder road. The most important amongst them is the 40-metre-wide road that starts from the junction near Tropical Lagoon-New Horizon school-Ovaria-Hiranandani estate-Bramhand and finally reaches Balkum or Kapurbawdi junction. Citizens can use this stretch as an alternative to Ghodbunder road if brought into use.
Incidentally, this road is part of the development plan, and the TMC, until now, has spent a few crore rupees. If constructed, a small patch of 80 metres can solve the issue, said many builders and social activists staying in the area.
One of the builders suggested that the new civic commissioner Mr. Abhijit Bangar must prioritise the missing links as it will result in tremendous relief to residents there. The authorities must walk an extra mile and adequately compensate the land owners to get the work done, felt many.
