Madhur Mhatre Out Of UBT Sena

Following the recent elections for the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation, Shiv Sainiks have dealt a strong blow to those engaging in divisive politics. A total of 11 corporators from the UBT faction were elected to the Kalyan- Dombivli Municipal Corporation. 10 of the 11 corporators came together to form the party’s official group by embracing the ‘Mashal’ symbol. However, Corporator Madhur Mhatre refused to join this official group. A “Show Cause” notice was issued to Mhatre, allowing him to present an explanation to the group and clarifying his stance on the party’s position. However, he did not respond to any of the three notices, nor did he participate in the party’s official group.

Under the Maharashtra Local Authority Members’ Disqualification Act, 1986, the concerned party has the right to file a disqualification petition against the corporator. Through disciplinary action, Madhur Mhatre was expelled by the senior leadership.
