India aim for a hat-trick of wins as they take on South Africa

India have started their World Cup campaign with two wins, defeating Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Eyeing a hat-trick of wins, India take on South Africa in match number 10 of the 13 th edition of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup on Thursday at Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium,
Visakhapatnam. South Africa, despite having started with a heartbreaking loss to England, have gathered themselves, and earned their first points by beating New Zealand in their previous match.

Players to watch out

Harleen Deol: The right-handed top-order batter of India top scored against Pakistan with 46 runs from 65 balls, including four fours and a six. She is also the leading run getter for India in this World Cup so far with 94 runs in two matches.
Kranti Goud: The young right-arm sensation of India won the player of the match in her previous outing against Pakistan. The 22-year-old snapped three wickets for 20 runs in 10 overs, including three maidens. 
 
Tazmin Brits: The South Africa opener became the first cricketer to score five centuries in a calendar year in women’s ODI cricket. In her previous match against New Zealand, the right-hander scored 101 runs from 89 balls, including 15 fours and a six.

Nonkululeko Mlaba: The left-arm spinner from South Africa wreaked havoc with the ball against New Zealand as she scalped four wickets for 40 runs in 10 overs. She bowled exceedingly well in the middle overs to stem the flow of runs.
